Introduction:

Dr. Rajesh M. Parikh is the Director of Medical Research and Hon. Neuropsychiatrist at the Jaslok Hospital and Research Centre. He is Adjunct Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Iowa, Carver College of Medicine and a former WHO Global Expert on Depression. He trained at the Seth G.S. Medical College and the K.E.M. Hospital, Mumbai and at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.

He has been invited to lecture at the Harvard Medical School, the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, the Yale University School of Medicine and the Institute for Research in Neuroscience and Neuropsychiatry in France. He has delivered over 125 international talks.

He has won over 200 awards in activities as diverse as photography, painting, quizzing, writing and debating. He is presently learning Sanskrit and Greek in addition to the six languages in which he is fluent.

In 2021, Dr. Parikh published two national bestsellers on the COVID pandemic and on Vaccination. Both books have been critically acclaimed. In 2021, he has seen the largest number of online patients in the hospital.

Awards & Publications:

Dr. Parikh has had a university rank in all exams in psychiatry and topped the National Board Exams. He has over 125 publications in national and international journals. He has extensive experience in research having conducted over 50 studies.

Dr. Parikh has had a distinguished academic record with several awards including the Bombay Psychiatry Society President’s Award thrice, the Tilak Venkoba Rao Award of the Indian Psychiatry Society and the Dr. S. M. Lulla Award of the Bombay Psychiatry Society. In addition he has received the Distinguished Alumnus Awards from the St. Xavier’s High School and The St. Xavier’s College as well as the Exceptional Contribution Award from the Jaslok Hospital and Research Centre.
