Introduction:

Dr Rujuta Mehta is practicing exclusively Paediatric Orthopaedics for the past 27 years. She treats the entire range viz. congenital and acquired disorders of the Musculo -a skeletal system in children.   She has also pursued fellowships in USA and Japan.  She has a patient-centric attitude and is known for clear and precise decisions and outcomes. She has been a leading faculty at various national and international forums and is renowned for her organizational efforts. She is compassionate and dedicated to patient care. She has been and teacher and examiner for many years and practically trained several generations of young paedipods all across India with 4 fellowships under her tutelage at B J Wadia Hospital for Children. She heads the Department of Paediatric Orthopaedics at the Bai Jerbai Wadia hospital For Children for 24 yrs. She is the President of the Asia Pacific woman’s advocacy section (WAVES) and founder and Chair of WOICE (Women Orthos of IOA Collective Empowerment) first woman to be on the executive committee of the Paediatric orthopedic society of India and Bombay Orthopedic Society, Secretary 2018-2020 and Vice President 2021-22, and IOA Education Committee.
