Introduction:

During his tenure as a Senior Resident in General Surgery and Urology he was responsible for conducting clinical classes and demonstrations for the undergraduate students and postgraduate residents posted in the Department on a rotation basis. He was also responsible for training and supervision of the work performed by his junior colleagues. He was conducting classes for the Nursing School affiliated to K. E. M. Hospital, including conducting examinations for them.

Dr. Ketan Desai was maintaining the Audit and presenting the same in the monthly Mortality and Morbidity meetings. As an Administrative Medical Officer he was running the Casualty and supervised the functioning of the various outpatient clinics. He also kept track of the local purchase and indents from various wards.

He was a member of Managing Committee of Bombay D ward Medical Association in the past. He has also been a part of the various sub-committees of the same. He was also a member of the Editorial Board of the official bulletin of the association.

He is member of the Advisory Committee at Bhatia Hospital.

Dr. Desai is actively involved in the teaching programme for the D.N.B. (Urology) students at Jaslok Hospital & Saifee Hospital.
