Introduction
Dr. Rahul Chakor is a senior Consultant Neurologist with over two decades of extensive experience in diagnosing and managing a wide spectrum of neurological disorders. At Jaslok Hospital, he brings a deep commitment to clinical excellence, academic rigor, and compassionate patient care. His key areas of expertise include general neurology, neuroimmunology, stroke, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, and demyelinating diseases.
Dr. Chakor has been instrumental in the management of acute neurological emergencies, particularly in stroke care, having successfully thrombolysed more than 500 patients with acute ischemic stroke. He has made significant contributions to the implementation of stroke management protocols and has a strong track record in improving outcomes in patients with cerebrovascular disorders. His extensive experience also includes the management of complex epilepsy cases, where he has helped optimize treatment plans through careful rationalization of antiseizure medications.
Dr. Chakor has authored book titled “ Signature Clinical Signs in Neurology”. The book is published in 2025. A 500 pages book on clinical signs which is referred by neurologists in training as well as practising neurologists all over the country.
A dedicated academician, Dr. Chakor is actively involved in teaching postgraduate neurology students and has contributed significantly to the training of future neurologists. His passion for clinical research is evident in his role as principal investigator in several clinical trials, especially in the field of multiple sclerosis and autoimmune neurology. He has authored over 30 scientific papers in indexed national and international journals and is frequently invited as faculty and speaker at academic conferences, continuing medical education programs (CMEs), and professional symposia.
Dr. Chakor's commitment to advancing neurological science and patient care has been recognized through multiple prestigious awards. His work continues to be guided by a vision of delivering evidence-based, patient-centered neurological care while contributing meaningfully to research and education.
