Here are some guidelines for the Preventive Health check Program that can help you maximize the benefits of your check-up. To prepare for your health check-up, it is important to get sufficient rest. Additionally, please follow these guidelines:
Fast for at least 10 to 12 hours before your appointment, only drinking plain water. Avoid fatty meals and meat the night before.
If you are scheduled for a Dexa/Bone densitometry Test, do not take calcium or multi-vitamin supplements containing calcium salt for 24 hours before the test.
If you are scheduled for a Spirometry/Pulmonary Function test, avoid using inhalers for 24 hours prior to the test, unless advised otherwise by your prescribing physician.
Avoid exercising on the morning of your health check-up.
Wear comfortable footwear as you may need to undergo a brisk walk during the Treadmill test (TMT) if indicated.
Do not consume alcohol or nicotine 24 hours prior to your appointment.
Bring all your current medications and medical records for any known medical condition.
Drink 1 to 2 litters of water starting 1 hour prior to your appointment time if you are scheduled for an ultrasound scan. This will ensure that you have a full bladder in time for the scan.
If you wear contact lenses, discontinue use for 24 hours prior to your appointment and bring your latest number spectacles to be evaluated by the eye specialist.
Clean the wax from your ears prior to Audiometry.
Please note that there may be a short waiting time for each test as per your selected package.
If you are a diabetic, cardiac, or hypertension patient, or have recently suffered from an illness or fever, kindly inform the EHC reception in advance.
Corporate clients are required to bring the original credit letter from their respective companies.
Please remember to bring a valid photo ID card for identification purposes.
The entire process may take a minimum of 4-5 hours.
To ensure accurate results, we recommend scheduling your appointment approximately one week after the last day of your menstrual cycle. If you happen to be menstruating on the day of your appointment, please inform the nurses upon arrival.
If you are pregnant or suspect that you may be pregnant, it is important to avoid getting any X-rays or mammography done. Please inform the EHC reception in advance about your pregnancy status.
For patients above the age of 35 or as per individual requirements, mammography is advised.
