Introduction:

Dr. Sanket Shah is an Oncosurgeon with 10 years of experience in surgical oncology in various departments. He has completed his basic training in general surgery from J.S.S. Medical college, Mysore. He then received further training of surgical oncology under eminent surgeon in Kokilaben dhirubhai ambani hospital for 1 year. He then joined  prestigious Tata Memorial hospital as Gastrointestinal Fellow for 1 year following which he completed his M.Ch. Onco surgery training from Tata memorial hospital. In his 5 years of training in Tata memorial hospital he acquired vast experience of treating early and advanced cancers.

He has special interest in Breast and Gastrointestinal (GI) cancers. He has done many breast conservation surgeries with Oncoplastic reconstruction for cosmesis. His keen interest in breast surgery has resulted in organ preservation and good cosmesis for patients.

He has performed various open and laparoscopic surgeries for GI cancers especially stomach and colorectal cancers. He has also performed exentrative surgeries in advanced cancers and sphincter and organ preservation surgery for patients.

Awards & Publications : 

He has multiple papers and publications to his credit including a chapter on Neuroendocrine tumours of the lung in A textbook of clinical oncology in the Indian context.
