Neuropsychiatry disorders constitute the largest burden of disease in the world according to the World Health Organization (WHO). Over the past two decades, research has clearly indicated an anatomical, physiological and biochemical basis for most psychiatric disorders and therefore these are now treated like other non-communicable diseases such as diabetes and hypertension. 

Jaslok Hospital and Research Centre was the first institute in India to begin a Neuropsychiatry Clinic in 1989 and have since received numerous patients from all over India and neighbouring countries.

This clinic is a specialised centre that provides comprehensive care to patients with complex neuropsychiatric conditions.
