Introduction:

Dr. Shaji Marar is the Consultant in Charge of the Vascular and Interventional Radiology Department. He is a renowned Interventional Neuro radiologist and Vascular Interventionist
He joined the Department of Vascular and Interventional Radiology at Jaslok Hospital and Research Centre after completion of MD Radio-diagnosis in May1998. After extensive training in Vascular Imaging and the entire spectrum of Interventional Radiology for more than four and a half years and a Fellowship in Interventional Neuro radiology in Paris, he was elevated to the post of Consultant Interventional Neuro radiologist and Vascular Interventionist in November 2002.
Dr. Marar has huge experience in Neuro Vascular, G.I & HPB, Peripheral Vascular and Genito -Urinary interventions having performed more than 7000 Angiographic and Interventional Radiological procedures over 17 years. He is among the most experienced Interventional Neuro radiologists in the country having done more than 3000 Neuro Angio and Interventional procedures. Apart from Neuro Interventions, he has extensive experience in other Vascular Interventions and has done pioneering work in the treatment of Pediatric Budd-Chiari Syndrome.
