Introduction:
Dr Sunil Chopade is a well experienced Medical Oncologist and Hemato Oncologist.
Dr Chopade completed his under-graduation MBBS from GMC Nagpur and post-graduation in Internal medicine MD from IGGMC Nagpur. He then pursued his super speciality training DM in Medical Oncology from prestigious Institute Tata Memorial Centre, Mumbai. After completing DM in 2019, he was working as Assistant Professor, Consultant Medical Oncology at TMH Mumbai.
Dr Sunil is well trained in medical management of solid organ cancers, lung cancer, breast cancer, head and neck cancers, ovarian cancer, gastrointestinal cancers, urinary cancers and rare cancers like thymomas, neuroendocrine tumour. He is specialised in treating haematological cancers, leukemias, lymphomas and multiple myeloma. He had his training in hematopoetic stem cell therapy at ACTREC, TMC, Mumbai during his tenure. He has actively participated in the management and containment of COVID-19 in cancer patients and was member of COVID action team at TMH.
He has his expertise in conventional Chemotherapy, Molecular Targeted therapy, Immunotherapy, and Stem cell transplant therapy for various cancers. He is skilled in oncological procedures.
He received his DrNB in Medical Oncology from National Board of Examinations New Delhi in 2020. He is an ESMO (European Society of Medical Oncology) Certified Medical Oncologist. He is member of many national and international societies - ASCO (American Society of Clinical Oncology, ESMO (European Society of Medical Oncology), ISMPO (Indian Society of Medical and Paediatric Oncology), ICON (Indian Cooperative Oncology Network) AMC (Association of Medical Consultants), etc.
He has interest in academics and research. He has been part of various clinical trials and research studies. He has been part of rare cancer clinics, precision medicine and molecular oncology clinics and multidisciplinary tumour boards. He has many research publications in national and international index journal like Journal of Clinical Oncology, Nature. He had presented research posters and abstracts at national and international conferences.
