Introduction:

Dr. Nagendra Sardeshpande is a gynaecological endoscopic surgeon and cancer surgeon practicing in Mumbai since the past 20 years. He completed his postgraduate medical training in gynaecology in 2002 from the prestigious Lokmanya Tilak Medical college in Mumbai. Following this, he pursued his keen passion in gynaecological endoscopic surgery in internationally renowned institutes in CICE, Clermont-Ferrand & Strasbourg, France and gynaecological oncology with the Galaxy Institute, Pune & with the ESGO courses in Hamburg, Germany.

Dr. Nagendra along with performing all laparoscopic procedures in gynaecology is especially keen and proficient in performing endoscopic surgery for a disease called endometriosis which is one of the most complicated surgeries in gynaecology. Endometriosis is a disease where the woman menstruates and bleeds inside the abdomen causing all the organs (uterus, bowel, urinary tract structures, etc.) to stick together. The ovaries can develop cysts. This results in severe pain especially during menstruation and infertility. Dr. Nagendra Sardeshpande has mastered the art of treating this disease by laparoscopic surgery and also its long term management.

Dr. Nagendra Sardeshpande has also been performing gynaecological cancer surgeries by laparoscopy or open technique for cancers of the uterus, cervix & the ovary for over a decade.

He has also extensive experience in corrective surgeries for abnormalites of the uterus (Mullerian anomalies).

He has also a number of research articles and publications to his credit in various national and international journals along with presentations and surgical demonstrations in national & international conferences.
