Introduction:

Ms. Sonal Chandalia is a senior, well-established Clinical and Lifestyle Nutritionist with an illustrious career spanning over 30 years. Currently, she is serving as the Chief Nutritionist and Diabetes Educator at Dr. Chandalia’s Diabetes, Endocrine, Nutrition Management and Research Centre (DENMARC), Mumbai and has a vast experience of nutritional planning and diet counselling in non-communicable and lifestyle diseases, acute and chronic diseases for different phases of life and special situations, metabolic diseases such as Diabetes, Cardiovascular diseases, Metabolic diseases, Obesity etc.

Sonal Chandalia has an illustrious academic career with a BSc from the prestigious St. Xavier’s Autonomous University, Mumbai and an MSc from the renowned Nirmal Niketan College of Home Science, University of Mumbai.

She continues to pursue her academic interests as a Visiting Faculty at various Nutrition Colleges, Mumbai and being a co-guide to students of Nutrition. She also delivers lectures in National and International conferences. Ms. Chandalia has several national and international publications to her credit. She is a prolific writer and has authored a book on Nutrition and Diabetes in several languages.

Ms. Sonal Chandalia also has extensive experience in developing and implementing nutrition education programs (online and offline) for doctors, other healthcare professionals and the community at large. Her leadership role is reflected in her capacity of being the Vice-President, Association of Diabetes Educators and Executive-Editor of the Journal of Diabetes Education, for the ADE.

Ms. Sonal Chandalia is well-renowned in her fraternity and leads by example to inspire the next generation of health-care professionals.
