Introduction:

Dr. Ashay Shingare is a Consultant Nephrologist and Kidney Transplant Physician at Jaslok Hospital and Research Centre, Mumbai. 

Dr. Shingare completed his MBBS from Lokmanya Tilak Municipal Medical College and General Hospital, Mumbai, and MD (General Medicine) from Seth GS Medical College and KEM Hospital, Mumbai. He completed his DNB (Nephrology) from Jaslok Hospital and Research Centre, Mumbai. He has been awarded a Certificate in Clinical Nephropathology by the International Society of Nephrology. 

Dr. Ashay has a wide experience in the management of patients with acute kidney injury, chronic kidney disease, glomerulonephritis, hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, and kidney transplantation. He is well versed in the procedures of ICU hemodialysis therapies (SLED and CRRT), kidney biopsy, and tunnelled cuffed hemodialysis catheter (perm catheter) insertion. 

He is actively involved in research projects and has done research on anti-HLA antibodies in kidney transplantation. He has multiple publications in international journals. His special interests include kidney transplantation, transplant immunology and critical care nephrology.
