Empowering Lives Through Healthcare Making Health Accessible for All

Jaslok Hospital & Research Centre is a quaternary care public charitable trust hospital in the country, founded by Seth Lokoomal Chanrai in 1973, inaugurated by the erstwhile Prime Minister, Indira Gandhi. In the late 60s, when the establishment of large private hospitals was not common, the institution was conceptualised and endowed to the city of Mumbai by Seth Lokoomal Chanrai, which brought international care at the doorsteps of India.

The mission of Jaslok Hospital & Research Centre is to provide comprehensive, compassionate and patient-centred care to all patients and their families while enhancing patient outcomes through research and innovative treatments. As a pioneer in developing healthcare in the private sector in India, it continually strives to provide excellent service comparable with international standards and maintains the founder's mission of Health Equity.

Our vision is to be the hospital of choice for patients, physicians and employees by providing state-of-the-art medical care with compassion and dignity.

Jaslok Hospital is currently fulfilling the mandatory charity obligation of 2% of gross revenue as prescribed in the Charity Commissioner guidelines. With the support from Trusts and CSR partners, we are able to achieve an additional 4%. Thus making a total charity support of 6% of gross revenue consistently for the last three years.

Concessions are also offered to senior citizens, and an active social work department helps needy patients with donations from trusts.

We conduct local medical camps in Maharashtra and other neighbouring states (Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat), catering to the less privileged who have less or no access to quality medical care. We have focused our efforts towards vaccination camps, health camps and organ donation camps:

Jaslok Hospital is eligible for 50% tax exemption under section 80G of the Income Tax Act, 1961. Jaslok Hospital is a registered Trust under Bombay Public Trust Act, 1950.
